Program Management Team
Dr. Bill Wechsler, BA (Dartmouth), JD (Georgetown), PhD (McGill) is Director of AUK’s Summer Program. He teaches International Relations, Law, and Public Policy at AUK. He has taught at McGill University and Concordia University in Montreal (Canada), the University of Victoria in British Columbia (Canada), the Barney School of Business in Paris (France) and the University of Vermont (USA); as well as guest lectured on Peacebuilding and International Security at the University of Utrecht (Holland) and the University of Turin (Italy).
Shqipe Mjekiqi is the Co-Director of the Summer Program. She is currently Political Advisor on EU Integration to the President of Kosovo. Shqipe graduated with a B.Sc. from the University of Prishtina and received her M.Sc. from the London School of Economics.
Dr. Irina Stojan-Kisielowa, Ph.D. (Saint-Petersburg University) is Coordinator of Academic Affairs for AUK’s Summer Program. Dr. Stojan has taught at the Moscow State Pedagogical University (Russia), Russian State University of Immanuel Kant (Russia), Moscow Diplomatic Academy (Russia), University of Warsaw (Poland), University of Gdansk (Poland), Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz (Poland). Dr. Stojan is an acclaimed translator of Polish literature, theatrical plays and films.
Anastasia Trofimova, B.A. (Hon) (University of Toronto and Sheridan College) is the Student and Media Coordinator. Ms. Trofimova is a photographer and documentary filmmaker, currently working on a project which focuses on the economic situation in Kosovo. She has been employed as a producer, editor and researcher for various production companies in Canada and has currently switched her attention to the Balkans.
Ivana Stevanovic is Coordinator for Recruitment and Logistics of the Summer Program. She is both a MA candidate in the Kosovo Institute for Journalism and Communication and University of Belgrade (major: Serbian and Comparative Literature). She was a member of European Movement Youth Club, Hi Neighbor (refugee related projects), Group 484 (high school programs). Ivana was a coordinator for Educational matters in Student Union of Belgrade and coordinator for the Regional matters in Student Union of Serbia working on variety of projects regarding students’ rights and welfare. She was also part of the projects regarding video activism and self-organizing. Her affinities involve the area of cultural studies with Balkan as the main field of interest.
Rrezarta Xhaferi, Engineer of Telecom and Computer Science, e-Learning Content Creator Author, Web-developer and Designer. She is the Head of AUK's Media Centre. Creator of the AUK Summer Program web site, and everything in relation to visually present AUK in the public. During her work as a trainer, she has also worked as a co-author of the book of European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL). Photography is her passion and she trains people who want to improve their editing skills in Photoshop.
