The American University of Kosovo is committed to assisting students whose academic merit warrant support. The University aims to give every student the opportunity to take advantage of a high quality AUK education and, accordingly, offers several scholarship incentives.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS AT AUK:

The Excellence in English Scholarship Award

The Excellence in English Scholarship is awarded to the students who demonstrate exceptional English Proficiency (iBT TOEFL).

Greater than or equal to 114 € 1,000	Greater than or equal to 106 € 750

The Excellence in SAT or ACT Scholarship Award

The Excellence in SAT or ACT Scholarship rewards students for outstanding SAT or ACT scores. The following incentives are awarded to students who meet the following results:

SAT 1500-1600 or ACT 34-36 € 3,500 award	SAT 1400-1499 or ACT 31-33 € 2,500 award
SAT 1300-1399 or ACT 28-30 € 1,500 award	SAT 1200-1299 or ACT 25-27 € 1,000 award
SAT 1100-1199 or ACT 23-24 € 750 award

Note: SAT score calculated without writing section.
A student is eligible for both TOEFL and SAT or ACT scholarship award.

More Excellent Scholarship Awards

(Students must apply for)

President’s Scholarship (based on merit: SAT and outside school activities). Award up to 3,500 EUR

Trustees Scholarship (based on merit: SAT and outside school activities). Award up to 3,000 EUR

Top School student Scholarship (based on high school grades, recommendations and TOEFL) Award up to 2,000 EUR

William Walker Scholarship (based on high school grades and SAT) Award up to 2,000 EUR

Founders Scholarship (based on SAT) Award up to 2,000 EUR

Parents Fund Scholarship (based on TOEFL, high school grades) Award up to 2,000 EUR

Hometown Scholarship Program 2010-11

• Istok,
• Mitrovice,
• Prizren,
• Ferizaj

are eligible for hometown scholarships. Students are supported in part by contributions from the business communities of these towns. Up to four students from each town will receive awards varying in amount from 2,000 EUR-3,000 EUR based on their entrance exam scores.

Successful students will be eligible for scholarships for up to four years, as long as they meet the academic conditions of AUK’s scholarship program).

Private Scholarships

Several private scholarships, such as the Cami Family Scholarship, are available to eligible students.

After the first successful year at AUK awarded students with excellent award:

Note: For the Excellence Scholarship Program the result of only the first exam taken in TOEFL and SAT or ACT will be considered.

WORK STUDY PROGRAM:

Various positions are available on campus for students to earn additional funds while studying. For detailed information about current work-study open positions, please visit the recruiting office on campus.

Application guide:

Recipients of excellent and hometown scholarships must remain full time students (min. 12 credits per quarter) .
