AUK contracts with Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), the eighth largest private institution in the US, to deliver AUK’s undergraduate and Masters degree programs.

Founded in 1829 in Rochester, New York, RIT has grown to a student body of over 15,000, and offers numerous academic programs that focus on the uniquely American concept of career education, which is a hands on, experiential system for creating "workforce ready" graduates in business, technology, and industry.

With a national and international reputation for excellence, and long experience in Eastern Europe, RIT currently has degree-granting programs in Croatia, the Dominican Republic, India and the United Arab Emirates in addition to Kosovo and Rochester, New York.
Pioneers in utilizing corporate partnerships in higher education, RIT, and now AUK students, throughout their education, are engaged in serious practical work experience in functioning enterprises. A central element of the program is the development of leadership skills and the practical application of economics and business expertise, through partnering with appropriate institutions and firms in Kosovo and around the world.

Students who successfully complete the AUK program earn an RIT degree, a degree that is recognized worldwide. After two years a student may earn an Associates degree. Most, however, continue on to complete the full four-year program, earning the degree of Bachelor of Science in Applied Arts and Sciences in one of four career concentrations.

All AUK faculty must meet RIT's high standards; most come from the RIT system, but qualified Kosovo and European faculty, who have been approved by RIT, also teach. A high premium is placed on experienced teachers who can blend effective classroom leadership and interactive dialogue with rigorous intellectual content. All faculty have a Master's Degree and some hold PhDs in their fields.
In addition to the innovative approach and quality faculty, AUK students have complete access to RIT's vast online library and other academic resources. Using the notebook computers that are issued, free of charge to all AUK students, students and faculty engage in constant exchange with RIT faculty for mentoring, debate and consultation.

RIT's innovative Center for Multidisciplinary Studies in the College of Applied Science and Technology administers AUK's academic program.

James Watters, Ph.D., is RIT’s Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration. He serves on the AUK Board of Trustees and is a regular visitor to AUK.

James Myers, PhD, Director, Center for Multidisciplinary Studies, Rochester Institute of Technology, oversees the Center’s international programs including those at AUK. Jim teaches Natural Resource and Infrastructure Development in the AUK-RIT Master’s programs.

Lyndsey McGrath is the Program Manager for Kosovo at the Center for Multidisciplinary Studies. She earned a Master's Degree in Public Policy from RIT, with research focused on the development of Kosovo’s civil society.

Donika Demiri is the Program Coordinator for Kosovo at the Center for Multidisciplinary Studies. She earned a Bachelors of Commerce from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada.
