Every student in the degree program completes the following two courses.
Context and Trends (4 credits): This course introduces students to interdisciplinary thinking, problem solving and research techniques and also print and electronic information resources appropriate to the student's concentration area.
Capstone Project (4-8 credits): This course is a supervised, hands-on experience in which the students apply the skills and knowledge developed through their courses and concludes with a specific product and with an oral and written presentation.
During the application process, students work with AUK and RIT faculty and staff to review their career goals and choose from four concentration areas: Service Management, Infrastructure and Natural Resource Development, Project Management, and Public Service.
