AUK > Partnerships> Dartmouth
AUK signed an agreement of partnership with the Dartmouth College, the distinguished American Ivy League Institution, establishing parameters for exchange programs for students as well as paving the way for institutional collaboration. Dartmouth graduates are global leaders in business, government, and the arts.
Dartmouth was founded in 1769 and is comprised of a liberal arts college, the Dartmouth Medical School, Thayer School of Engineering and the Tuck School of Business. In addition, it houses 19 graduate programs in arts and sciences. It is one of the greatest universities in the world with a long tradition of excellence that attracts some of the most promising students across the globe.
Dartmouth’s relationship to Kosovo dates back to 1999, when the Dartmouth Medical School Dean, Jim Strickler, as well as several members of its faculty, provided critical care in the postwar environment and provided hundreds of opportunities for Dartmouth and Kosovo medical students to participate in exchange programs. Dartmouth Medical School researchers continue to work with Kosovo’s doctors to study variations in the health care system.
Under the AUK-Dartmouth agreement, both universities anticipate developing joint study programs, providing internships, and conducting joint projects. AUK and Dartmouth will collaborate to advance liberal arts, culture, business education, post-conflict transformation, and medicine in Kosovo and across the region.
