Academic Support CenterThe Academic Support Center (ASC) is devoted to providing academic assistance for students enrolled at AUK.  The primary focus of the ASC is to provide assistance in developing English writing and/or math skills. Each quarter, the ASC will also provide special workshops.

The ASC is located in Room 403.  For hours of operation, please check the notice on the door for any given quarter, or call the office at the number below.

Students needing assistance must sign up for a time slot. There are two binders (one for English another for Math) located on the table outside the ASC; students should print their name in a 20 or 30-minute time slot that best fits their schedule, preferably one or two days before an assignment is due. Students are helped on a first-come-first-served basis.

Academic Support CenterOur staff consists of four student tutors, who are AUK students with an excellent grasp of the English language. Each tutor has successfully completed freshman math and writing courses and has received training conducted by the ASC coordinator. In addition, we are joined by Lynne Welton, a native-English speaker and instructor for academic preparation courses, who will be available for both graduate and undergraduate students.
